Is there a way of making all view ports active or inactive in one go rather than having to switch to each layout tab?
Cheers

Perhaps you could explain some more, what you want? I am not quite getting it.

That would probably take a Lisp routine to do that. I don't know of an option that exists in AutoCAD for this.

I was going to suggest a Lisp routine as well. I don't know that there's any way to do that.
Out of curiosity, why?

The reason was because some of out external consulatants send in drawings still with the viewport active and when you go through 20-30 drawings ata atime its a right pain awitching them all one at a time. No matter how many times we tell them!!!!

How many viewports are on each layout tab? One or more than one?
Are we really talking about "locking and unlocking" viewports on each tab? Guess I'm confused too. Then again, I was born confused.
Hmmm...I thought only one viewport at a time could be "active".

If you list all paperspace viewports it says they are either on & active or off depending on whether you can see the viewport objects (so, regardless of whether it's current or not). I'm presuming for some reason your consultant keeps turning them off... which is strange. Lisp Guru!!!!
