Hatching (CAD 2008)

Is there a way to hatch solid and very light so you can see what is under it? I an using color 253 and draw order to the back. Any ideas?

Can you screen it at plot time? I guess that would mean the hatch would have to be on its own layer.

Screening in the plot style table. The lower the number for the color, the more the "fade"
