View Full Version : Retaining changes to xref dependent layers???

Hello everyone,

This is my first post at CADTutor. Looks like a great place to get info.

I'm currently using Autocad 2002 and still trying to learns it's quirks. I am still used to R14.

My question is this....in R14 there used to be an option under layer manager that you could check to retain changes to xref dependent layers. So, if the linetype (for instance) changed in the master dwg. then it would not change in the sheet that it was xref'ed into.

I can't seem to find anything like this in 2002. Can anyone help?

Would it be under Tools - Options - Open & Save - External References? CADTutor, is this the same thing? I think it is. Good luck.
