linetypes and layers

i have just created a 2d drg from my model and all the lines have been generated as dashedand all on the layer hidden.When i edit the view just to show outlines , all the geometry disappears, any ideas how to correct this?

Sounds like someone has been fooling around in your Styles and Standards editor. Can you attach the files so I can make sure that is the root of the problem.

Thanks very much JD but the thing seemed to correct itself overnight......heaven knows why :D just clicked update and like magic they were right. The main problem we have with our models is they are huge,,,,,60 metre long furnaces with virtually every nut and bolt and service pipework fittings shown, even refractory brickwork. They look mightily impressive when finished but boy they take some handling. We did a VRML conversion yesterday and the file size was 19 gig

That's certainly big files. I only deal with 5 -25 parts at school with kids parts.
