Hi
Has anyone else come across the problem with manual Dimension lines getting 'stuck' if you move a detail around in a 2D DWG?
Any causes or solutions? I've tried closing down the open DWG and opening again but it will always be that 1 dim in 1000 that gets stuck.
I use AutoCAD 2006
Below is a pic to illustrtate my problem.

Make your dimensions associative. If you check out this FAQ you might get a better idea:

Thank you Alan, I will check to see if this option is ticked when I get to work Monday.

Hey, Raithneach, you're a Blue's supporter. You can talk to me anytime, mate. Not that I'm a bloody cockroach. But Paul will be sure glad to have you onside.
Cheers, mate. (just stay away from those bloody Victorians).  :P

*back to the question*
It looks more like one end of the dim was associated to an entity which now no longer exists or that, by use of grips or some manner, the node in question has been disassociated (unassociated?) with that part of your drawing. For one end of it to move it must be partially associative already so it sounds like you have that option switched on.

Just checked that this morn, and that option was already ticked in the options dialog, I'm at a loss as to what it could be.
I just layed out a footing plan which was a block, and dimensioned it as normal, and as a test I dragged a crossing window, moved the block and dims, and lo and behold one of them got 'stuck'....******

Mate, post that section of your drawing (as a dwg file), so we can have a look at it.

I use Prosteel so I cleaned up the DWG. to create a pure AutoCAD drawing, tried it again and still the same problem, just try grabbing the whole lot and dragging it and you'll see (maybe!!) one dim. get 'stuck'
Thanks for your help mate....

so these dimensions were automatically produce by prosteel or yourself ?
also the grips for the dims are a bit strange... iso view the drawing
you'll see what i mean.

Some of your dims are associative, and some are not. Go to acad help "associativity (of dimensions), changing", to see how to go about making all dimensions associative again.

Also check your prosteel dimesion dialog settings.
