Drawing problems areas disappearing

I recently opened a dwg that I used previously and when it opened
only certain layers are visible in modelspace yet all layers that are required are on ... now when going into layout or plot the entire dwg is visible, what is causing this? and how can I repair this I have tried purge and also recover in hopes it would help but no dice... and on the same topic in other dwgs in layout only one viewport shows up in layout, but again in plot they are both visible & plotted, what is going on...






I swear I am being singled out by LDD2004 and slowly executed!!!

What are your computer and graphics card specs?

my graphics card is a nvidia Quadro2ex, and did not try the regen all, I just installed 2008 on my box!!!
