For those of you interested in the subject there are several programs that claim they can covert a .pdf file to a usuable .dwg file. I only tried one myself, and although it did the conversion, I was not entirely thrilled with the results. Be that as it may, here on some programs, a few of which offer free 30-day trials, that are available. No links have been provided. Sorry, but you'll have to track them down yourselves.

i've tried the first one... not quite good imo. i got pdf to dxf. is that a different version? it males all the arcs circles and texts as lots of small lines which makes the drawing extremely large. (25 mb)

Try Rhino.
I have opened many pdfs with Rhino 4.0 and 3.0 and the result is quite good.

Does anyone know of any freeware versions out there? Im sure if there is they would do a horrible job though. Iv never even seen a paid for version do a half decent job.

Coral draw is what I use, you can save the pdf as a dwg and so far from what I have seen it works quite well. I think I used the Pdf2cad converter a while back, I cannot remember if it was any good:unsure:
