Is it possible to have the camera follow a path?

I designed a series of pipe work and would like to show people the travel of the airflow through these pipes... i'd be great if the camera could follow the centerlines...

Yes, well, in 2007/08 it is.
Type anipath {enter} and you should get a Motion Path Animation dialog.

If you need any help with this then just ask.

Sorry, i thought you were refering to AutoCAD. Yes there is a way, but I believe there is a plugin that you need to download.

Give me a few mins and I will post back with what I find.

Cheers

Sorry, my bad, didn't check which part of the forum this was posted in...

Ok. Check out the link below. Download the flight path plugin, and add it to your SU setup.

I can't give a walk through right now as I do not have SU on my work machine, could possibly tonight if no1 else posts.

Cheers

well here is a rough video of my work... i edited some of the "flight" the camera took... only so that way it was a bit slower and makes things easier to explain while I'm giving this presentation.

enjoy...

Looking good.

Not sure if it is just my end, or is the video, but it seems a little stuttery...
I remember that there is a settings somewhere to adjust the delay between scenes, etc, check this out if the video is stuttering your end too. Sorry, I can't remember where exactly this setting was, but there are various settings all over the place in SU.

Cheers

yeah, it's not as smooth as it should be... the stuttering is actually good b/c everytime it stutters, i'm going to pause it to discuss a few things... in this case it's good...

but for a nice striaght run, it makes things too jittery.
