I just started messing with map 3d and seem to have a few basics down, but when I insert an image (mrsid file) and plot, the image is very distorted. Is there a way to convert the file to a jpg or a tiff file or is there a way to correct the problem? I am very new at map 3d so any info will be extreamly helpful. Also, please be patient and get used to the questions because I have ALOT!!! Hehehe,
Thanks,
CJ

Hi,
have you installed the SP? It has some improvement on Raster Plotting especially if the Rasters are as FDO's

No, I didnt know that I am supposed to. Like I said, I am very new to map 3d. The image is a fdo, maybe that will work for me. I'll give it a shot.
Thanks,

If you are plotting at a close scale it will likely be a little grainy. Is this the problem?

No, I dont think so. I had the drawing at 1"=100' and I thought that it may be to close, so I scaled it out to 400. Still wasnt clear at all. I guess I've seen it done eith Arc GIS and it can get close like that, I figured that Map would be able to do it as well.

i found low memory issues made it "weird" when plotting MRSid files. Same as ECW files. I upgraded the memory and it got better but i can only print one file then have to restart before plotting the next or it will crash Cad. :(
