Hello Everyone,

My problem is as follows:

I need to migrate my old .mns file into 2008. When I use the transfer tab in the CUI, and browse to the .mns file and click "open", I get an error saying that the file can't be opened. It doesn't tell me why, or what to do so that it will work...

I've also tried changing it to a .mnu file and get the same result.

The file works fine in AutoCAD 2002, so I doubt that it's corrupted. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what the problem is, or have any of you experienced this same problem? Any help would be great.

Thanks, Andy

I'm not 100% sure about this but I think since autocad changed from .MNU to .CUI for configuration you can do a menuload command and change the file type to .MNU or . MNS to load your menu then when you save the new CUI file you'll have it to edit and for future.
others here may be able to explain it better, not sure if I use all the right terms.

Did you try looking in AutoCAD help? Look up Migration and/or MNU.

If you still get an error trying the different methods, post your file so someone can check it if you can.
