I have a school project that im fumbled on, My teacher has given us directions for a drawing we are suppose to produce of a water boiler. Its done on a pre template C-size drawing and is suppose to be at a scale of 1" = 1'0" with a standard title sheet. Yet he gives us no dimensions, so my question is how easy is it to do this drawing by "eye balling it" and then going back in and changing the scale to fit the paper...
not sure if that made any logic but yea, help would be appreciated...

The way I would approach this with the info you have given so far would be:
1. Place the C-Size template border on a layout tab (paper space).
2. Under model space create your drawing to a scale of 1 to 1.
3. Go back to the layout tab and create a view port.
4. Select the edge of the viewport and under the viewport toolbar or under the properties dialog box, set the viewport scale to 1"=1'-0".
5. Next Lock the View port display so that you do not accidentally change the scale if your making changes.
This would be a very high level view of the steps. If you have questions feel free to ask.
Hope this helps some.
