Houston, we have a problem.
...I've suddenly realised that a long, long long, time ago my company used to use Design Cad (version 4),
unfortunatly the disk it was on has long gone. The computer it is installed on is an antique and we have quite a few of these drawings that are saved as .DC2 or .PD1
In order to view these drawings I have to save them to floppy then shut down, attach Ye old puter and use Design Cad to open them, then export them one by one (D Cad can only open up one drawing at a time) to Autocad shut down, hook up my computer stick in the floppy then away we go.
Approx. 2000 drawings, just did a rough count up.
Is there anything else I can view them with? These drawings really need to be converted.

Is this the DesignCAD you speak of?

If so, maybe see if the demo can open and save to dwg for you. Most products have a 30 day full trail so might be worth a try. Good luck.

Cool! Glad that it helped. I saw that name before and it jogged my memory. Their products seem pretty cheap. What, the Max version is $90 and the Express version was $45. Might want to see if the Express version will work and get that one. I am glad that helped Skeeps :)

F7 You are my No.1!!!
I always post in a problem into the forum and think to myself, I bet these guys wander what the hell I'm talking about, because I'm not so sure myself. But Lo and behold there's always a good response and pretty quickly too.
As for the script Hypo...well I'm a bit lost on that note, I've never used them, I think it may be time I did but wouldn't have a clue where to start.

 aw shucks  wasn't nothing ;)
I am really glad it helped. I played with that 2D Express version a bit yesterday. No too bad of a application.
This site is good because of the people on it. There are so many different users here that we have a bit of knowledge in just about every field out there. Take care Skeeps :)
