Does anyone know where I can obtain the Express Tools for LT2008. They do not come with the installation software. I have Express Tools loaded into Full Version 2007. If they are not available for LT2008 is there a way of importing them from 2007?

Express tools are not available in LT. You can not import them from full version either.

If you want them, or something similar, you will need a 3rd party add-on, such as LT Extender, although I would personally suggest avoiding this.

really? how weird is that, yes there is many different ways of doing it but the easiest would proberbly be by downloading it as an add on from a free site.

check this: http://www.drcauto.com/download/

add ons for LT, the express tool will no doubt be in there.

If you have 2007 Full why do you need 2008LT?

Express Tools are made up of LISPs, which LT cannot run. You will need an add-on.

Why not run an add-on LElkins?

Firstly, as much as it is disputed, I do not wish to be in a position of breaking the licence agreement, and until I have written confirmation from Autodesk that I can run a 3rd party add-on without breaking that agreement, I will not do so.

Secondly, and most importantly, being a CAD Manager, I must be able to justify software purchases, etc. and when people use add-ons in LT, they assume that it is just as good as having full AutoCAD, especially partners and middle management guys who have little understanding of the software, and then they will question why do we need XXX for £XXX, when they can get YYY for £YYY. So just a matter of justification really.

Can go into this more if you like.

No need to get into it further, just wondering what your motivation was for that. I personally wouldn't use an add-on or use LT anyway. :D
