View Full Version : Disabling "previous version saved" dia. box

There's a guy that refuses to upgrade to CAD '07 (which everyone else uses); he uses his personal laptop with '04.
Every time he saves a drawing, from that point forward, any time someone with '07 opens it, a box comes up "Warning: Drawing saved in previous version...possible incompatibilies...etc etc".
Is there a way to disable this from happening?
We don't have any compatability issues, and the only drawings we work with are completely in-house, so needing to be notified of this potential issue with drawings from clients/architects is not an issue.

In autocad under tools, options, open & save, file save! I wonder if he sets that in is autocad 04 to save to a version compatible to both if that works. Let me know!

...and also the "Proxy image" box?
It's annoying; I have to open numerous drawings at a time, so I think i have time to get a cup of coffee while they open. come back to find it's stuck on the first drawing because of the boxes.

I've fiddle-messed with that, and it doesn't change the boxes from coming up.

Isn't there a little check box that says "do not show me this again"?

Yeargh, I wasn't connecting the dots;
we do all have it set to save for '04 by default to make it simple for the Lone Ranger...so yeah, you were correct about the "save as '07". When I tested it out, I guess I pressed the wrong check box or something. It didn't work that first time, but does now.
Looks like where definitely going to need said Ranger to upgrade.
With regard to the Proxy-graphics box; no "don't show this again" option.

_PROXYNOTICE = 0 for the proxy.
