Afternoon all,
Just a quick question, the below pic shows the result of pasting a floor plan from a clients stock dwg into a new drawing. Anyone know why the diagonal x's have appeared? They converge at the corners of elements and are easy to get rid of, but its just seems strange.
Cheers

they are points.
set PDMODE to a value of 1, and they should disappear

Could they have been "points"?
Dang it, Blue. You're one millisecond ahead of me again. Coincidence? I got to learn to type faster.

As I was about to explain, before my computer suddenly decided to do a regular freeze job on me.
At the risk of getting howled down by the Blue and ReMark, those points are probably survey points. So the best option is not to change your PDMODE to 1, but rather to freeze all the survey layers. They should be readilly recogisable, they will have a strange survey code attached to them.
Sorry Blue, I'm ducking for cover now.  :P
Up the surveyors. :P

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but changing PDMODE to 1, will only place a tiny dot at all those points when you plot????

PDMODE to 1 makes all those annoying X's disappear completely.
PDMODE to 0 (zero) will turn the X's into dots

Alternatively just delete them all, can pass you a vba if you like which will do that.

Hi,
If you type "DDPTYPE", this will bring up a new menu and will give you the option of changing those points and their relative sizes.
You will see what I mean when you type this in the command line.
It feels good to give something back!!
Even though you have already been given the answer!! :D

Excuse me but it seems pretty relevant to me. NBC posted a reply and it seems that Alan was acknowledging his better reply. It's actually nice to see others give credit where credit is due at times.
