how do i move a part of my design?

I have a design that a friend of mine put together for me. He is no longer availible to work on it, and i need to move a scroll wheel up further on it. Im used to 3ds max. auto cad is so different. is there a way i can select the whole wheel and just move it up some? im new to auto cad. so please dont get too technical with the answer. lol. Thanks in advance.

Several ways to select it and move it, is it all one object? Try clicking on it with your mouse, then Right-Click and select properties. In the upper right it should tell you what type of object it is.
