How do you do it?

I should rephrase... "Place from content center INTO PART file."

You can place features from Content Center but not parts in an ipt.
You must be in assembly iam to place parts ipt from content center. You can then save the part anywhere you like. Pack and Go is the easy way.

It wouldn't make sense to place a part in a part. If you needed to do that I would use Derived Component.

It makes perfect sense to me, because I have several single sheet metal parts that have a variety of PEM hardware pressed into them. If I can keep these as one part file then that makes life easier as far as file management.
Thank you for you help, though.
Just to be sure... What you're suggesting is to make the part, then insert it into an assembly, give it the required hardware and make my drawing from the .iam file created?
