Vista and VBA

Recommended Posts

When I try to load vba editor (alt-f11) or vba manager (vbaman) I get an Office 2007 installation progress bar which finishes and then the following error:

---------------------------

AutoCAD Error Aborting

---------------------------

FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 0h

---------------------------

OK

---------------------------

Im using AutoCAD 2008 with the service pack on Vista Ultimate 32bit with Office 2007 premium. I can run the vba editor fine from within office apps (tested word and excel).

I have tried the checkbox to run as AutoCAD as admin and to run in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode.

Has anyone else run in to this problem?

Hello,

I'm new on this forum, but I have been using AutoCAD quite long time already (since Release R10).

I bring up an old topic because suddenly my AutoCAD 2008 begin to behave exactly the same as wibbles on message above.

Only exceptions are that I have Windows XP professional 32-bit and Office 2003 installed on HP laptop. AutoCAD is version 2008 with SP1. All Microsoft Updates are installed which comes via WU and everything seems to be ok except that VBA manager won't open.. :-(

I really need to run VBA code, but everytime when I even try to open VBA IDE AutoCAD pops-up Windows Installer and then it beguns to run Office 2003 installation. When that is done AutoCAD brings that AutoCAD error aborting -dialog with message: FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 0h

I check event log, and only thing what it says is this --> Product: Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 -- Configuration completed successfully.

Can anybody say what might be the problem?? I have been trying to update different components of Windows and Office with no success. I have been reinstalling AutoCAD and Office with no success. I also reinstalled all Visual C++ development tools hoping that, it could help but -- no joy... :-\

VBA IDE works perfectly on Office applications (Excel, Access, Word and etc.).... :-o

I really need help to solve this out....
