can anyone tell me what the best graphics card is for CAD in the price range of £150. I have an AGP slot.

Thanks

So that is about US$300?

The ATI FireGL V3600 was just reviewed by Cadalyst this month (http://management.cadalyst.com/cadman/article/articleDetail.jsp?id=499965&sk=&date=&pageID=2). It retails for US$249.

The ATI FireGL V3600 would be a good choice except for the fact that it requires:

"PCI Express® based workstation with available x16 lane graphics slot ".

I believe the user requires an AGP based card.

Oops. Looks like he beat me to the punch.

Take a look on eBay or one of its equivalents. Find and buy the following:

nVidia Quadro4 980XGL with 128MB vidRAM

It works in an AGP 8X slot with no problem. It used to retail for about $900 but I've seen it for as low as $110 (U.S.).
