Custom thread database issue

We use a custom thread excel database within Inventor. When we upgraded from R11 to 2008 recently we discovered that the new spread sheet is formatted differently and our old database will not work with 2008. Does anyone know of an easy way to either merge the two files adding the entries from the old database into the new one or Should i try to reformat the old database to match the format of the new database?

After talking with our IT guy, it seems i will have to add the custom information from the original spread sheet to the new one. But the problem I have now is that Im not sure what kind of format I need for the headings of the individual pages to add in sheets for threads like ACME, Stub ACME, EUE, NU, etc.

If anyone knows or could possibly point me in a direction it would be very helpful.
