I am trying to raise and lower the lid on this toilet, since i cant post a link yet ... here is where the file is on

search for toilet and the one i am using is 4th down and it is BLUE

If someone can show me how to do it.... that would be great:D

Which file type are you downloading?
If you downloaded the "Inventor" file, notice that it says .sat after it. The .sat file is a dumb solid. Furthermore it is a single piece so you wont be able to use it the way you would a true native Inventor file.
I personally recommend that you use the .step file. It is also a dumb solid but it is actually an assembly. You will need to constrain all the parts as the parts will be "in position" but not attached.
