I've been trying to send architectural desktop 2007 drawings to varies customers this past month and they all have the same problem. They can see the notes and dimensions but cannot see the walls or doors. I have advised them to make sure they have the correct object enablers downloaded from the autodesk website and to make sure that proxy graphics are turned on but it dosn't seem to help. The only thing that worked was to break the drawing down into a dxf but that makes a large file and is a pain. Is there something else I can tell my customers to try? It shouldn't be such a difficult thing I don't think.

Export to AutoCAD before you send it to them. They should be able to open in plain AutoCAD after they install the AEC enabler, downloaded from AutoDesk. The export to AutoCAD is the old stand-by. This should be under the file menu IIRC.
Good luck :)

How about etransmitting the drawing with the "AEC objects exploded" option? Then all the linework is visible without any proxy enablers.

I have tried e-transmitting in the past with no luck, however I never noticed the AEC expolde option. I give that a try next time. Thanks
