I have a DWG file of ductwork that was created using MEP. I'm not familiar with MEP and don't use AutoCAD's 3D functions much. When I rotate in the 3D plane, I see that the ductwork has 3D properties. But it seems like it is a wireframe and not an actual solid. Is there a way I can convert the wireframe into a standard 3D solid? Also, is there a way that I can make section views to cut away areas of the ductwork?

Section views can be made with dview & cutting planes & have a play with the 3Dclip command... have you got the latest MEP object enabler loaded...

... any other conversions would have to be done on an MEP machine I think but I'm not sure what tools are available there.

under the View menu, go down to Visual Styles to switch modes of illustrations that AutoCAD can view.

I changed the the view settings to make the wireframes easier to distinguish and played around with the dview to show the correct section. This will probably be the best way I can get it to do what I need it to do. Thanks for all the help!
