Im seem to running into a bit of a snag with the way the forum works.Everything is fine but if you click on a link to a previous post then you will be signed out.Youve then lost all your unread posts. The only way around this is to copy and paste the link in your browser from that current page to notepad or Word etc. Then open the page you want and then return by pasting the copied link back in if you need to.It used to be possible to open mutliple forum pages and not get signed out,is there any other way around this?Ive noticed this on other forums to.

I just tried out: no problems here. I clicked 5 different links so I get 5 instances of the IE6 and I am still signed in.

That is a strange problem, I don't see it when I do the same. Like fuccaro, I can open many pages and go backwards/forwards without being signed out.

I'll have a think what may be causing this.

and now its not happening  .I managed to get it to partly work.Copying a link from one page into a fresh page then move about once in that new webpage.Your unread markers should now be gone in both pages. When I was talking about links,I meant only those that are referencing the forum. If I manage to get it to happen again Ill post back if not just ignore me I must be having one of those days :)

I notice this forum doens't recognise you as logged in if you open it in a second window - which probably means that one machine can have 2 users logged onto the forum at once?

I think some forums have this disabled to stop multiple user IDs from one person having a conversation with themselves easily (or backing themselves up in an arguement)

I log in automatically.....so I can open many instances of the forum, although I only do it twice....mainly if I'm posting on one, and need to reference something for my post in another......
