I have always been able to dimension a model space object in paper space and it would give the proper dimensions for the model space object in the scaled viewport.
It is has all of a sudden stopped. Can't find anything in Help about it.
Any thoughts?

Is DIMLFAC = 1?
I'm looking around in the helpfile and it says that as long as your snapping to stuff in the VP, the default is to pick up the VP scaling. I don't see anything yet that turns that off.

sorry. could have been much more clear.
Say I have an object in model space that is a foot long. I have, in paper space, a viewport showing that object scaled down to some scale. In the past, I have been able to dimension that object in paper space and it would tell the true size of it, that being 1 foot. Now, when I do it, if the paper space appearance of the object is 1 inch, then the dimension reflects that instead of 1 foot.
I have checked DIMASSOC and that is set to 2. I don't want to force the dimension factor with DIMLFAC.

Also check DIMASSOC = 2
Edit ... answer's that question...

Fair enough. This one is really perplexing. Probably a way easy answer too.

All drawings or just this one?

Just the one it seems.
Now here is the fun part. In that problem drawing, there was one viewport that the dimensioning worked properly in. I did a match properties of the 'good' viewport to the 'bad' one and now the dimensioning thing works in there. There must be something to the viewport properties.

This may be a silly question, but are you sure that you are snaping to object points, rather than clicking a paperspace point...

Not a silly question at all. I checked and double checked that one.
