Extrude the "unused sketches" in this please.

I would avoid the use of ambiguous sketches - even if Inventor will let you. A more robust solution when it comes time to edit (and this is true for any history based modeler) is to avoid all abiguity. Remember, the computer can't think or see. What seems obvious to you might take some level of intellegence.

In particular I would pay attention to #42 and not use Projected Loops (even though you can doesn't mean you should).

Also I would have used #21 for the first sketch. SolidWorks now automates this method.

Thank You for responding. I also spoke with Autodesk and they also agreed, and suggested I use "mirror features", rather than "mirror sketches".

Same goes with Patterns - always opt to Pattern Features rather than sketches (if there is a choice in the design).
