We recently updated out old MEP 2008 to 2009, Im looking to add a shortcut of just Auto CAD on my desk top. I know i can go to the op command and change my profile each time i open MEP. I have also seached in some of the Autodesk files on my hard drive but found no stright AutoCAD program. Im using Vista as my os. Dose any one know were AutoCAD is stored.
Thanks Brian

If you wish to start AutoCAD (or any other vertical AutoCAD product), make a copy of the shortcut on your Desktop. Rename the copied shortcut to something appropriate.
Right click on the renamed shortcut, then select Properties.
In the Target, and at the end of all the text in there, add:
/p "the profile name that you would switch to to run just AutoCAD"
Then click on Apply, then Ok.

... as NBC says... as standard there should be one set up...
"C:\Program Files\AutoCAD MEP 2009\acad.exe" /p "AutoCAD"
(depending on you program location of course)
