I am going to be importing ERSI shape files using Land Desktop. I know the shape files are in UTM coordinates (meters) and I'm going to be required to convert these shape files into a .dwg that is in a county (Hennepin, MN) coordinate (US survey feet) system.
Anybody have a quick method easy how-to for doing this?
Thanks,
JT

Do you have access to ESRI ARCGIS?
If so, re-project them into the desired coordinate system and units first.
If not, MAP should be able to re-project, but I think there are limmitations...
I'll try to help if plan A isn't an option.

Set the correct coordinate system in the drawing.
When you get to the main dialog (after selecting the SHP file), it will show you the current drawing coordinate system, and the coordinate system of the SHP file. Verify both and then the conversion should be automatic during the import.
