command line

could someone explain how to retreive the command line. one of the kids has 'lost' it and i have tried everything but cannot get it back.

I'm sure this has come up on the forum before - I'll check.

The most likely thing is that the command line has been dragged off screen so that it can't be seen. Solution: increase the resolution of the screen so that you can see the command line. Replace it and then restore screen resolution.
