If i have an imperial file and i want to change it to metric, how should i do it?Bu drawing setting and drawing units->meters doesnt work, since options inside civil still ask for imperial.
Only way i found is to change the ambient settings one by one.

Could you load one of the metric templates that install with C3D?

What do you mean load the template?I have already set the new file to be loaded to be "metric_extended",but when i open an autocad file, the default units are considered to be imperial.
One way i've found is "select all->,copy and -> paste to original coordinates" to the metric template loded on civil.
But seriously isn't there a way to do it naturally?
thanx.

I guess if you set it to metric then you might have to scale your drawing to reflect the new units. I really can't help much in this dept. as I never use metric.
I may not fully understand the problem. Ask theswamp.org your question and perhaps you'll have a better response.

Look at the similar threads below your post. It has been discussed over a lot of times. you sure should find a solution from there

No it was designed in meters but civil displays imperial units,so all it needs is unit change. It doesnt need any scaling.
