Dimension Precision

While using measure distance tool with precision set to ALL DECIMALS i never get perfect dimension, even if the dimensions are perfect in the 2D sketch. Suppose the dimension is 305, then the measure distance tool will show 304.99999999999994.

Is this a problem with my sketch or inventor?

This is normal. No, you will never get a perfect number when using all decimals.

I wouldn't say "never", but it is normal. Search Google on Floating Point Math, this is common to virtually all CAD programs as it is a function of the processor, not the software.

On rare occasions I have seen this as an indication of operator error - if you think this might be the case attach your file.
