I have an alignment from station, say 0+00 to 12+50. I've created a profile of the existing ground, and in the profile view, the existing ground profile shows up between stations 0+00 and 12+50.
Suppose I only want the existing ground profile to show up between 3+00 and 8+00. Is there a way to get this profile of the existing ground to display only between these two stations?

Yes,
>profile properties, >Stations, >user specified range.
Or... do you mean you want the whole profile shown @ 0-12.5 and only the GL between 3 & 8?

If the GL is the single profile line that represents the surface in the profile grid, then I "want the whole profile shown @ 0-12.5 and only the GL between 3 & 8".
I want the single bumpy (potentially) line that represents the Existing Ground to only display between stations 3+00 and 8+00, but I want the profile grid to stay showing between the entire 0+00 to 12+50. That way I can draw a FG Profile (with PVI's and vertical curves, etc.) line between stations 0+00 and 12+50.
So in other words, I want the FG profile line to show up between 0 to 12+50, but the existing profile line (that came from the existing contours) only to show up between 3+00 and 8+00.
I'm not at a computer with ACAD right now, so I can't check wether "profile properties, >Stations, >user specified range." will solve my problems, but, I'll be able to check in an hour or so.
Thanks for responding.

I tried "profile properties, >Stations, >user specified range.", but that just refers to the profile view (grid)It wouldn't let me change the stations for just the Existing Profile Line. Do you have any other suggestions that I could try?
