hi guys,
i am new here. have a problem and welcome you wise people to find a solution. i use chief architect for designing and 3ds max8 for modelling and walkthrough generation etc. :oops: Now when i export model of a house from chief to 3ds max it appears correctly in 3dm, but when i try to rotate the model it becomes selected individually say - windows, walls or others. :x but i wish to work on it as a whole and later make individual selection for effect. please let me know the procedure to make a correct exoport and work.

If you want everything to move and rotate as one single object, after Import, window select your entire model and then go to the "Group" pull down menu and select "Group" from the menu. This will combine everything into one unit. Later, you can separate everything by selecting your object, go back to the "Group" menu and select "Ungroup".
