here in the UK the word is 'sustainability' there is even a code written as houses will have to comply http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/england/professionals/en/1115314116927.html all new built houses by 2012!

where does Revit come into this? well you can export or even use a plugin and your building will process the solar gain, carbon footprint info etc

plugin is here (i also think that Autodesk have bought this company)

i've got it installed but not used yet, hopefully have a play this afternoon and see what it does.
