I am running AutoCAD Land DeskTop 2008 with Windows XP Professional. In one of my drawings, when I choose "Points>Point Utilities>Zoom to Points" my screen zooms to black space even though I am staring at the point number I want to zoom to. The only way to get my linework back is to Zoom Extents. I have Service Pack 2 installed. Any ideas?

Its quit possible that were it is zooming to is the actual location for the point. It sounds like the point may have been moved to a different location, rotated etc. Try reinserting the points again to see if they come in the same location. Does it do the same thing if your not zoomed to the point where you can see it?

jerry is exactly correct. the easiest way would be to either points/check points/modify drawing or points/insert points and from there you can overwrite or renumber (to check to see what's going on).

i've run into this same problem.

oh, one other thing, check your UCS, a lot of ldd commands, while extremely nice, do NOT like a ucs other than world. i get burned all the time drawing breaklines and forgetting that i'm not set at wcs.
