So guys, a collegaue of mine is using ACAD MEP 2008 and it's behaving really strange.. and we are starting to wonder if we should go to the boss and scrap having MEP altogheter because if it, or if its just his edition of the program or his computer that is playing it up..
First off - he's got the exact same computer as I do (See Here (http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22704) for spec) and haven't installed anything funny...at least nothing funner than what I have and my ACAD 2008 works fine. The stuff that is happening is
- it can't keep track if the graphics is in front or behind one another so lines and surfaces that are suppose to be hidden show through. This affects ordinary lines as well, not Regenning them properly
- "normal" ACAD bugs (like a command not working all of a sudden) show up more often than I find normal - a restart of ACAD fixes it, but it's annoying when it happens often
- The MEP functions are acting crazy, like suddenly exchanging a pipe for something else, not properly align pipes, sometimes it thinks for it self with assembling a valve with it's components, but sometimes it just tosses a valve with nothing else.
- generally slow, like opening-closeing-saveing drawings.
This is what I hear about at least, and what he swears about most often... So, is this normal? Is MEP a buggy program? He has used MEP for quite a while now, but he haven't had any proper training - so how much of stuff like this could be helped with training?
Grateful for any input guys :)
..and gals too ofc
