What OS are you running?

What graphics card is used and how much vidRAM does it have?

What other apps are running in the backround?

What about an anti-virus program or something like Norton Utilities?

Has this been a problem for awhile or something that just happened recently?

What is a typical file size that you work with?

Does MEP support X-refs, and, if so, are there any attached to the drawings you work with? Sorry about my lack of knowledge of MEP. I am a plain vanilla AC user.

Ah...wait a minute. 4GB RAM and running XP. Actually, I believe it is documented that this combination of factors will actually slow down performance.

"In Windows by default any application can only use 2 GB of RAM at most. However under certain versions of Windows, applications could actually use up to 3 GB of RAM if it was available."

This is accomplished by using what is called the "3GB switch" in the boot.ini file.
