Hi,

I'm having difficulty working with surfaces. I am trying to make a surface with exactly same shape as the one on this picture:

But I have never worked with surfaces and I've been having painfull processes for over three days. I finally managed to make it but it was to hard of a process. Please can anyone advise on an easy way of making it? I appreciate it so much!!! :)

Thanks again!

:lol:MIKE J. WILSON'S WEB SITE looked really helpfull, the tutorials there very interesting, I guess it is what I was looking for. Thanks again, starting from 0 sometimes is hard, i still remember my first 19" rack, fuh that was a pain at the beginning, now just really so plain simple :D

As much as I like SW, i just hate doing surfacing in it. The shape looks simple enough, but just like everything else in 3D, there's a couple different ways of making it.

kinda hard to tell what that shape looks like just by looking at 1 view, but i suggest you start playing with sweep surfaces which are the easiest ones to create and manage.

I can probably create that part you have there with 3 sweep surfaces and then fill on the bottom. try to do that. keep it as simple as possible.
