Im pretty burnt out on Autodesk programs right now, I have been under going turtiurals for MEP 2009 (these can be not fun) and a client recently did a project in Soild Works and sent me the .ISG file. I converted that file to a .iam. In the Help Topics for inventor I found how to convert the file but when i do it nothing shows up in AutoCAD model/paper space. I did change the options in the save a copy as dialog box. Dose any one have any solutions to my problem.
Thanks,
Brian

Zip and attach the original .isg (or is it .igs) file here.
Assuming you did get the solids you could go to Applications>AEC Exchange and select Save as DWG Solids.
or
you could Save Copy As *.sat and use the acisin command in AutoCAD.
How much training have you had in using this software?

What release of Inventor are you using?
Have you installed all Hot Fixes and Service Packs. (particularly if using r2008 have you replaced the AOEMViewer?
Inventor is a professional program and requires a professional level of prepartion. I would look for training.
