are you able to make a solidworks drawing secure some way like password protected?

Not sure you can, but you could always use a program like folder lock, to lock and hide it.

i would do that but its the whole company i'm doing it. i dont think 3rd party software is an option for this company atm. there's 3 of us here that use solidworks, but no one knows if you can put security on it. like in autocad you can make it secure by putting a password on it. but solidworks? i never tried it for solidworks.

can anyone tell me what they do or use for security on SolidWorks documents.

you keep it in your computer and dont give it to people who you dont want it to see it.

you can also use PDM software either Workgroup or Enterprise.

you cant lock a file like word, get over it.
