I am thinking about trying to get my city & guilds certificate(s) in Autocad and was wondering if anybody might be able to tell me the best way to go about it. I,ve been looking over the internet for courses but some are way expensive and I don't really want to do a long course. Is it possible to just sit the exam without without having to attend a course?
I,ve also heard that it can be done at home , does anybody know about this?
Thanking you all a lot!

There are Autodesk authorised centres, nearest to me is in Glenrothes. You could theoretically just sit the test only.

try your local college, it cost me £50 for the course and £61 for the exams. A lot of colleges do the course now, usually at night

The certificate sounds interesting - worth having.
Is there any info on just how profficient you need to be to stand a chance of getting it? :?:

if you follow the tutorials on cadtutor.net, you'd have about twice as much knowledge needed to pass the course

So in theory, if I go through (and understand) the AutoCAD tutorials on here then I should breeze the City & Guilds exam?
And I could just pay to attend the exam? (I.e. I wouldn't need to actually go to any lessons).

Try this excellent resource to find a course in London.

I found 64 courses listed. Go to the section Computers/Graphics & Design and then search "AutoCAD". I'm sure there must be something here to suit.
