View Full Version : 2-D stretch in a dynamic block?

Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone knows how to stretch a line in two directions with only one grip. For example, say I have a line drawn at a 45 degree angle, and I have a grip that, when dragged horizontally (to the right), the line stretches one unit over and one unit up.

What I tried already was a stretch in the horizontal direction and a separate parameter for a stretch in the vertical direction, and then I had cycling set to "yes". I guess I don't understand cycling very well but what I thought would happen is that when I streched the horizontal one, the vertical one would be triggered because it was part of the selection set.

What I hope to accomplish with this is the ability to make gable eave blocks for my house drawings that I can insert at the top corner of a wall, stretch the grip horizontally over to the corner of the opposite wall, and have the eave line at the proper height and right in the middle of the two points (if it were a gable). I hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance!
