Hi,
I am a teacher of technology at a secondary school. Recently we had Inventor Professional Student version 2006 installed on our xp school computers to replace Autocad Lt. It works fine.
I then tried to install it on my vista operated laptop so I could learn and use the program at home. However, it would not install and frustratingly kept giving a me 1001 error.
Is there anyone out there who can help. I have a class of around 20 sixteen year olds depending on me to teach them the program so that they can gain good grades.
Regards,

I think you may have run into the dreaded .NET Framework error. Try searching over at the Microsoft website as I believe there is an article regarding same. Try using "troubleshoot Microsoft .NET Framework" as your search criteria.

Could you post the error message in its entirety as it would be of some interest to me. Thank you.
