redefining profile over and over again

I am using Land Desktop 08 and had the same issue with the same drawing in 06. Everytime I open the drawing I have to redifine the profile. I am referenced to the right project. Once I redefine it it works fine. Any thoughts on why I have to keep doing this? I have 30 and 20 scale profiles in the same drawing, but don't think that this could be the issue.

I've not experienced this behavior before. I would try doing the profiles the same scale to see what results you get. You may end up having to do them in separate .dwgs.
