View Full Version : PDF Plotting obscures details?

Hi! When I attempt to plot .dwgs as PDF files, some of the detail gets messed up. For example, in a place where I attempted to draw a grid made of closed plines (width 20 units = 20 microns), the lines appear in the pdf to be several times larger than they should be, enough that instead of a grid I just get a giant blob. Also, in places that should be solid hatched and dark, I get random gray horizontal lines running through - these don't spill over into the whitespace though. This I can sort of live with.

But also, as if that weren't bad enough, some of the lines are much thicker than the others (on the DWG they are the same thickness)

Has anybody ever run into this problem before/know how to fix it? Help!

i can't comment about your line as it may be the effect of your ctb file and/or lineweight but as far as the gray horizontal lines...

these lines are simply how acrobat is trying to display the solid hatch...when you print it should be fine on the hardcopy...

Cool! What is the ctb file?

It's the plot style that you choose to use. The ctb file determines how lines are plotted on paper. Basically how thick or thin or bold or screened.
