Does anyone know where I can get some tutorials/training on using ASE Civil....In particular, the profile display aspect of it. We currently use it at my office and I know how to use it to a degree. I would just like to get some extra training on it. Thnks in advance

You might contact them and let them know their links aren't working properly. I see when I click on one it opens a window with the quicktime logo, but no vid...

I contacted them by email yesterday and was told that they took them down and will be distributing a cd at a later date. Which kind of sucks for me cause I cant think of any other place to get some training on it.

Yeah that does suck. What are you doing with it? Can you do work just with Land Desktop or do you need ASE Civil? Do you have the Civil Design module installed?

We use it for our plan and profile sheets to insert the profile. I was having some issues with it so I emailed tech support he he helped me out. Turns out they took all their tutorials down and are going to realease a dvd sometime this year

Why not just run the plan and profiles with Land/Civil instead of ASE Civil?

We use it to import the viewports for the profile....Basically it attaches the profile and creates all the viewports for it, thaws layers and all that other stuff....Its a company standard....if it was up to me I would just do it the way im use to doing it, by creating my own VP's....ASE is good but I mainly do only water profiles so I only need like 4 VP'S for my profile and it creates like 12 or something.....Have you ever used it??

Nope. Never even heard of it before your post. If you have the Civil Design module installed with Land Desktop you already have that functionality. Not sure if ASE's is better or not...?

Yes Civil Design was an add-on for Land Desktop that adds lots of functionality. It's been phased out now though.

I see....ASE is actually a good add on but hopefully well get rid of it when we move to Civil 3D....Im assuming it has the ability to do what I was talking about earlier (create the VPs and all that stuff)

Yeah they added the Plans Production (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=10416278) tools in the '08 version.
