Last Friday, in the 11th hour (of course), Revit decide to give me problems with printing. Sections of certain objects were missing.

Imagine looking at a drawing, then someone just tosses a small cup of white paint on it. Each time I opened up a project, there were new areas not shown, and previously unshown regions that were crystal clear. Alex, the main Revit guy, said to switch it to wireframe; though this cut down the blocked-out regions, it did not solve this entirely.

Is there something I need to take into account here? I'm on the correct phase, the View Range is correct. It seems like Revit just has a mind of its own as to when it wants to be a massive piece of sh...headache, and what parts of a drawing it shows regardless of any corrections I make to the VV/VG settings.

And what's worse is that not only does it randomly decide to not show things on the screen (which it prints the exact same way; but I can at least know what'll be missing); but it prints objects that are supposed to not be shown at all, randomly, from other floors, view ranges, etc.

I plotted this one drawing for electrical lighting. Electrical power is turned off, all mechanical categories are turned off. And it looks 100% perfect on the screen. I go to plot it, and the damn plot has half of the mechanical equipment on, some duct/piping work from the first floor (I was plotting the third floor)...

It just gets infuriating sometimes. Especially when I have a bullheaded boss that wants to know why I'm plotting excessively. It's not like I WANT to waste paper, it's not like know exactly why Revit's doing everything I don't need it to be doing when it's crunch time.

Can anyone shed some light on this?
