Using LD 06
I am creating surfaces for a proposed site. I create my grading to show my cut and fill than use that to create my surface. The only proplem is that it is triangulating between the ousides of my walls. Is there an easy way to get rid of those lines.
Right now I create my surface display than import 3D lines and than use the "delete Line" command under Terrain-Edit surface....this is very time consuming. Was wondering if anyone knows of a faster way.

Yes - make a Boundary of the outside of the wall.
First make a Pline of the boundary that you want (exterior of wall etc.). Also make sure that when you are creating a pline do not
hit C for Close - instead just pick the end of the line when you get to it. Then got to Surfaces, Select the Current surface -
Modify surface - from surface menu that comes up go to
Boundary - right click - Add surface boundary - Outer boundary.
Then select the Pline that you drew. When
Then go back and update the surface.
Your crossing lines should now be gone.
For interior portions you need to make a interior boundary
or a break line.
This is from memory so some steps may be incorrect in the wording.
If this fails go to your help menu and do a search for Boundary.
Let us know how it turns out!

Seems like its going to take me longer to draw a pline all the way around my grading object.... Any quicker way of doing that?

Not that I am aware of.
It does not have to be perfect -you just want to represent where
to tell it to not go past.
Also - By making the buildings (or walls) a Break line it triangulates to them instead of through them. Unfortunatly in this example there are not allot of shots in that area so it triangulated kinda weird (but you get the idea)
