assigning shortcut keys without the use of "ctrl"

in order to standarize between a few programs, I would like to use the "+" and "-" keys to zoom in and out of drawings :!:
I've been through the help and see that i can use the "ctrl" and "alt" keys :( but would prefer to use single keys to perform the function.

Is this possible :?:

running autocad lt2004

with out using ctrl keys u can use zoom command in that u can zoom in and zoom out without ctrl kets. in again in zoom window u need to go for options t o zoom in and zoom out.
