Well, for one...if you're confronting a learning curve in hopes to meet a deadline, it makes things a little more difficult...judging by the vague request for help, sounds like you need to look at the problem as a whole again and try describing the actual problem you are trying to solve, not just the way a tutorial may or may not have gotten the point across...for I have no idea what you are trying to do.

1. Are you asking about the Design Center? Or are you using a different program, other than Autocad? I am not aware of a "design tab" or a "design palette" or an "opening tool" in Autocad.

2. What tutorial is this? Who wrote it and where did you get it?

3. What does this tutorial cover and are you reading and understanding it correctly?

4. Are you presenting your question to us using the correct terminology or is this a loose translation?

If you tell us what you are trying to do, maybe we can understand your situation a little better. Try to give as much information as possible.

Ok, you should have said you were using ADT to begin with. Your profile says Autocad 2008. I have moved your question to the "Architecture & ADT" section.

yes, the opening tab has doors and windows in it. What you need to do on your tool palettes is click on the lower side of it and switch it to design. This should bring in all of the stock palettes for you to use, another way to do this is to select a wall and right click, you will get a pop up menu, you can then go down to insert, then opening. The opening tool itself is just that, a drywall opening. You can find these tools also in the content catalog which is a button below your title bar, it is used instead of relying on the design center.
